My name is Meghan Mcleod, LCSW C-NDAAP and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Bay Shore, NY. In addition to receiving rigorous training in adult and adolescent ADHD and Autism Assessment, I have the unique benefit of lived experience.

I specialize in comprehensive assessments for adults and teens (12+) seeking clarity and understanding about their own individual life experience. I promise to guide you through the assessment process, providing insights that can lead to a better understanding of yourself and your unique strengths.

ADHD/Autism Assessment: $1,100

How Insurance Works:
Some insurance plans do cover the full cost; however, most plans only cover a portion of the fee. We will verify your insurance plan prior to your appointment and provide a written good faith estimate.

If your insurance doesn’t cover the entire fee:
You will receive a written estimate of costs that are not covered. This is usually around $500. We can break this fee down into 2-3 payments. We also accept all major credit cards. This out-of-pocket cost covers the time needed to carefully write detailed reports, analyze data, and ensure a comprehensive, accurate diagnosis so you receive the best possible information and support.

When considering an assessment for ADHD and autism, it’s essential to evaluate the costs alongside the quality of service provided. In New York, the average cost for these assessments typically ranges from $2,000 to $3,000, which can be a significant financial burden for many families. In contrast, my services offer a more affordable option, with assessments priced at $1,100.

I believe in affordable access to care, as it is vital for people to receive the support they need without excessive financial strain. I can work with some insurances to cover the cost of the actual sessions themselves which can reduce the out-of-pocket administrative costs, typically reducing the price, if I am an in-network provider. (Aetna, Cigna, Northwell Direct, Anthem BC/BS – Commercial Plans, United Health Care Commercial Plans, Oxford, Oscar, Medicare, and Healthfirst.) I am an OON provider with NYSHIP, and GHI, however will provide courtesy billing.

As each insurance plan is different, I am unable to give exact out of pocket costs without checking your insurance. Most out of pocket fees range from your typical appointment co-pay to $500.

In general, only the following insurance plans reimburse Licensed Clinical Social Workers for administrative fees: Aetna, Cigna, Northwell Direct, and Anthem BC/BS.  I will provide a quote in writing prior to your first appointment.
