Miles is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor–Trainee (CASAC-T) with over five years of diverse experience in the mental health field. Their therapeutic approach is humanistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed, integrating a flexible blend of modalities—including CBT, iCBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic/psychoanalytic insights—to meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
Miles is committed to identity-affirming, gender-affirming, and culturally responsive care. Drawing from a critical lens of social justice, they understand how systemic inequities, oppression, and intersecting identities shape clients’ experiences and emotional wellbeing. Miles has extensive experience supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and people navigating chronic mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and dual diagnoses involving substance use.
With an emphasis on identity, acceptance, and purpose, Miles works to cultivate a therapeutic space grounded in respect, curiosity, and non-judgment. They strive to create an environment where clients can heal, grow, and explore themselves with honesty—while also being gently challenged toward insight, self-accountability, and meaningful, achievable change.
Miles received their Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook School of Social Welfare and is clinically supervised by Meghan McLeod, LCSW.
